Data controller

CANILUME LLC is the controller of personal data processed in connection with the store. Contact: contact@canilume.fr.

Data processed and purposes

• Identity, contact details, address and order information: order performance, delivery and after-sales service;
• payment information: secure processing by payment-service providers;
• customer-service messages: responding to and following up requests;
• technical, browsing, analytics and advertising data: security, operation, analysis and advertising, subject to consent where required;
• marketing email address: sending communications with consent or where otherwise permitted by law.

Legal bases

Depending on the purpose, processing is based on performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, CANILUME’s legitimate interests in securing and improving the store, or consent for cookies and communications that require it.

Recipients and international transfers

Data may be accessed by authorised CANILUME personnel and necessary service providers, including Shopify and providers of payment, hosting, delivery, support, analytics and advertising services. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area using safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.

Retention periods

• Order and invoicing data: throughout the commercial relationship and then for ten years to comply with accounting obligations;
• customer data used for marketing: throughout the commercial relationship and for three years after the last purchase;
• prospect data: three years after collection or the prospect’s last active contact;
• customer-service requests: while the request is being handled and then for the period required to establish evidence or manage a potential dispute;
• cookies and similar technologies: according to their purpose and the periods shown in the consent manager, within applicable limits.

Data may then be securely archived where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or defend CANILUME’s rights.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, object to certain processing, or withdraw your consent at any time by writing to contact@canilume.fr. Proportionate identity verification may be requested. You may also lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority, the CNIL.
